A white cane is used by many people who are blind or visually impaired. Its primary uses are as a mobility tool and as a courtesy to others, but there are at least five varieties, each serving a slightly different need.
Pakistan Association of the Blind (sindh head office) is an NGO providing services of Education and Rehablitation for the Blind People in Sindh. PAB Sindh is totally welfare organization, struggling for the welfare and betterment of blind community through its 14th districts branches in the rural areas of Sindh, PAB is running a large number of projects to train its visually impaired members in different skills to convert them into contributing and dignified members of the society.

Our mission: Empower persons with blindness and visual impairment through various rehabilitation services and providing opportunities for participation in the society coupled with prevention, cure and reversal of blindness.
It gives me immense pleasure to learn that the Pakistan Association of the Blind ,Sindh is launching a Website (www.pabcane.com )on the occasion of "WHITE CANE SAFETY DAY " which is the international day of the blind.
It is commendable that the Association is rendering valuable and selfless servicess for the education ,training and rehabilitation of the visually impaired people in sindh .The Association has made collective efforts to solve the problems of the blind through self help and change the attitudes and prejudices towards the blinds by creating a favourable environment .This would go along way in encouraging the blind to improve the quality of their own lives through self-help.

It is commendable that the Association is rendering valuable and selfless services for education, Training and Rehabilitation of the visually impaired people in sindh .
In my opinion the most important achievement of the Association is the collective efforts to solve the problems of the blind through self-help to change the negative attitude and prejudices towards blindness by creating a favorable environment for the acceptance of the role of the blind people themselves in improving the quality of their own lives through self help.
I am honoured to congratulate Pakistan Association of the Blind (Sindh) over their commendable achievements with regards to the betterment of the blind community of Sindh.
PAB Sindh with its 19 district branches has made wonderful progress by training, educating and rehabilitating the talented visually handicapped people.
For the promotion of Braille learning among the old visually handicapped people and for thus how have not been to any educational institution of the blind.
By the grace of Allah a great number of male and female blind people have been benefited by our Braille class.
